Chance to discover more about your family tree at Walsall centre ...

Walsall Local History Centre

Have you been researching your family and want to find more sources in which they may be recorded? If so, or if you just want to find out more about where to look for family members, then Walsall Local History Centre has a workshop coming up which will be just right for you.

?Further sources for family history? takes place at the Centre in Essex Street, Walsall on Saturday 1 December from 10am until 1pm and will cover sources such as records of work, court records and wills.

Even if the centre?s records do not include your ancestor?s name, similar records elsewhere might. Once you have uncovered the names of your ancestors it is possible to find out more about what they did and what their lives were like.

Workshop participants will discover what other sources there are, what they can tell us and where to find them. They will also get a chance to look at original documents, find out whether an ancestor left a will and research some of their ancestors? jobs of work.

Admission to the workshop costs ?5 and advance booking is essential on 01922 721305.

Walsall Local History Centre is the archives service and local studies library for Walsall metropolitan borough and is part of Walsall Council.
